Honduras - a country in transition

Honduras is bordered by Guatemala to the west and El Salvador and Nicaragua to the south.
Like its neighbors, Honduras struggles to not be left behind as the west rolls into the twenty first century at full steam.According to the World Bank Honduras is the third poorest country in the Western Hemisphere (Haiti, Nicaragua).With more than 50 percent of the population living below the poverty line and 28 percent unemployed, Hondurans frequently turn to illegal immigrationas a solution to their desperate situation.
USA Department of Homeland Security has noted an 95 percent increase in illegal immigrants coming from Honduras between 2000 and 2009, the largest increase of any country.

Asia Bibi - Sentenced to death in Pakistan

Asia Bibi, a simple christian woman who worked her life on the fields of a muslim landlord was accused and sentenced to death in November 8th for allegedly have commited blasphemy against The Profet Mohammed.
Her life has changed dramatically when a complaint to a muslim cleric of a local mosque threw her into a spiral of torture and violence. She faced great hostility due to her religious beliefs, intolerable and diferent from the vast majority of the Pakistani people.
The case of Asia Bibi, is the first case in Pakistan and it's the first time Pakistan Laws apply a death sentence to a Christian woman regarding a case of blasphemy.
Asia's husband is portrayed in this set.

Tommaso Rada - New 4SEE Photographer
Tommaso Rada is based in Braga, Portugal.
He was born in a small city in the north of Italy in 1979 and then, as soon as it was possible he ran away to Bologna where he attended the university.
He began to collaborate with several theatre companies and festivals as scene photographer.
Then he started to travel to Bosnia and to document the changing after the war, and he soon discovered to be addicted to journalistic photo reportages.
Along the years he attended several photography courses and workshops like the one organized by VII photo agency with Gary Knight and Alexandra Boulat and specializing in photojournalism.
He made reportages in Italy, Portugal, Bosnia, Palestine/Israel, Mozambique and South Africa.

Peter Pereira featured in "Lens" from The New York Times
Peter Pereira's experience in Haiti while visiting the country two months before 12th January Earthquake, is featured in "Lens", the photography blog from The New York Times.
The work on Haiti's Mountain people is also in "OneRèspe" a 40-page publication intended to raise money for the victims. He did. So did Mary Ellen Mark, Chet Gordon, Kari Hartmann and Lindsay Stark.
